Penn State's former football head coach, James Franklin, will now be taking the reins as coach at a new school.

The Associated Press reported that Franklin was hired by Virginia Tech after he was fired by Penn State earlier this season.
Franklin was fired on Oct. 13, less than 24 hours after a home upset loss to Northwestern all but ended whatever remote chance the preseason No. 2 team had of reaching the College Football Playoff.
Franklin concluded "his tenure in University Park after 11-plus seasons with an overall record of 104-45, tying him for the second-winningest coach in the history of Penn State football," according to a statement from Penn State following their
