MACOMB TWP. – If this weekend was any indication, Utica Eisenhower won’t have many problems putting the puck into the back of the net this season.
The Eagles recorded their second straight lopsided win Saturday at Suburban Ice Macomb Arena, posting a 6-1 victory over St. Clair Shores Unified in the Macomb Area Conference Red Division opener for both teams.
One day earlier, Eisenhower cruised past Macomb L’Anse Creuse Unified 8-0, helping give the Eagles a commanding 14-1 scoring edge after two games. Defensively, that’s a team goals-against-average of just 0.50.
During a tight first period, Eisenhower finally stuck first with just 21 seconds left in the first period. That’s when Bode Farr tucked the puck between the pipes following passes from Sawyer Hotchkiss and Nathan Schilkey.
