A snow and ice warning has been issued for Teesside and North Yorkshire as 'clearing skies' and subzero temperatures are set to freeze the region. The Met Office has sounded a yellow weather alert for ice from 4pm today, Tuesday, November 18, until 11am on Wednesday, November 19, for Darlington and North Yorkshire.

A second yellow warning for snow for Middlesbrough , Hartlepool , Darlington, Redcar and Cleveland, Stockton and North Yorkshire, has also been released. This is from Midnight on Wednesday, November 19 to midnight on Thursday, November 20.
