The winter weather is well and truly here. A number of Met Office weather warnings are in place this week, with snow and ice predicted to cover much of the country. ‌

An ice alert is in place for the northern Highlands and Aberdeenshire from 7pm last night, November 17, until 10am today, November 18. And Scots want to see how how hard their area will be hit with the white stuff can check themselves by using our own interactive snow map. ‌

Another ice warning is in place for southern and central Scotland from 5am until noon today, while a snow warning is in place from 3am until 6pm, covering parts of the Central Belt and much of the northern mainland. ‌
