Police have launched a probe after a schoolgirl died of a suspected drug death.
An 11-year-old girl was rushed to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow on Sunday, November 16 after falling ill at her Helensburgh family home on Friday.
An ambulance was called on Sunday for the Hermitage Academy pupil after her condition deteriorated and loved-ones became increasingly concerned.
However, she tragically passed away on Monday, November 17 after being placed into intensive care.
Officers from Police Scotland have launched a probe into the heartbreaking death and Argyll and Bute Council has confirmed that they are supporting her family alongside fellow pupils and staff at Hermitage Academy.
