This week's yellow weather warnings have been extended by the Met Office , now covering Glasgow city and the Greater Glasgow area.

While previous warnings covered some areas of Lanarkshire , the latest update shows almost all of Greater Glasgow under a yellow alert for ice and 'hill snow' from 4pm today (November 18) to 11am tomorrow (November 19).

Strathclyde areas affected by the latest warning include Glasgow, East Renfrewshire, Renfrewshire, North Lanarkshire and South Lanarkshire .

People should be wary of icy patches on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths, and the Met Office has warned of possible injuries from slips and falls.
