JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The construction of a new concourse at Jacksonville International Airport could bring some new dining choices to the airport with a mix of four national chains and Jacksonville-based restaurants.

The food hall in Concourse B would contain a Chick-fil-A, Panda Express, V Pizza and Willie Jewell's Bar-B-Q. None of those restaurants currently operate at the airport.

The new concourse would add some more local flavor by selling Sweet Pete's Candy at one of the specialty stores that will come to the expanded airport.

The Jacksonville Aviation Authority's Awards Committee on Nov. 17 signed off on the selection of HMSHost by Avolta as the top-ranked submission for the new restaurants. The aviation authority board will vote on awarding the contract at its Nov. 19 meeting
