BUCKEYE, AZ (AZFamily) — As rain made its way into the area, multiple roads were closed Tuesday morning in the far West Valley due to flooding.
The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) said the following intersections are blocked due to water on the road:
Salome Highway & 339th Avenue
Wintersburg Road & Indian School Road
214th Avenue & Narramore Road
Drivers are encouraged to “Turn Around, Don’t Drown” and not attempt to drive through flooded roads. MCSO advised drivers in the area to look for alternate routes.
Over the course of the next two days, up to 2 inches of rain are possible in the Valley, particularly in the higher elevations just north of the Valley.
This storm system is set to push out of Arizona on Thursday, but we’re watching another storm that could move in for
