PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Valley students are doing something good one stitch at a time!
Thanks to ArtasticArt , an after-school program focused on letting kids lean into their creativity, students at Cartwright Elementary are unleashing their artistic side.
These young learners are making holiday pillows and repurposing Barbie dolls to give to children living at UMOM , an organization that provides services like emergency shelter and affordable housing to families in need.
Co-owners and founders Edith Eubank-Cummings and Leniese Gatto sat down with Arizona’s Family Tess Raflos.
“We really dive into the art itself, and the students really enjoy that opportunity after school to be creative and express that side of them,” Eubank-Cummings said.
