Ford has officially ended production of the Ford Focus , closing a 27-year chapter for one of its most successful models.

The last unit, a white five-door hatchback, rolled off the line at the Saarlouis plant in Germany this month, marking the end of a car that sold more than 12 million units worldwide, Ford said.

“So Long, Focus,” the automaker’s website says. “It’s been a remarkable run. Unfortunately, we’re no longer building the Ford Focus. Contact your local dealer about other vehicles perfect for you and your family.”
