An NYPD cop impersonated an ICE agent and demanded his victim and their family report to a federal office in New York City, federal prosecutors revealed Tuesday.

Atickul Islam, also known as “James W. Anderson,” was indicted on one count of false personation of an officer or employee of the United States — after he allegedly claimed to be an ICE field-office director when contacting a victim in Queens.

Islam told his victim and the victim’s family to report to the ICE location by April 15, 2025, according to the indictment.

Islam is expected to be arraigned Tuesday afternoon.
