Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders made his regular season debut in Sunday’s loss to the Baltimore Ravens. While the loss was disappointing, an even worse experience awaited him off the field.
Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio reported Monday that thieves had broken into Sanders’ home while he was in Pittsburgh. There is no immediate word on what, if anything, was taken from his home. Florio added that there are currently no suspects in the incident.
Sanders is not the first athlete to experience a break-in while playing on the road. Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes experienced a break-in at his house, along with his teammate, tight end Travis Kelce , and Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow .
