A major airport in Florida was evacuated after a man claimed he had a bomb in his bag, authorities said.

Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport's Terminal 4 was completely evacuated, affecting both the arrivals and departures levels. Deputies arrested the man and evacuated the terminal late on Tuesday morning local time, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Int'l Airport wrote on X: "Travel Advisory No. 1: An ongoing security-related investigation is impacting access to pre-security public areas of the arrivals and departures levels of Terminal 4 only.
