Two woman have been charged after a missing man was found dead in a field in Kilmacolm.
Robert Best's body was discovered by cops in a field near High Mathernock Farm in the Inverclyde town at around 9.20am on Tuesday, November 11.
The 50-year-old had been reported missing from Greenock on the same day.
Andrew Brodie, 51, and Stephen Shields, 44, appeared at Greenock Sheriff Court on Wednesday, November 12, charged with the dad's murder and an attempt to defeat the ends of justice. Both made no plea and were remanded in custody.
Police Scotland confirmed tonight that two women, aged 41 and 64 have also been charged in connection with the death.
The pair are now due to appear at Greenock Sheriff Court on Wednesday, November, 19. A report will be sent
