CLAY COUNTY, Mo. —
A Pleasant Valley teenager faces multiple felony charges after a high-speed pursuit on Interstate 35 in which Missouri State Highway Patrol says occupants of a fleeing vehicle fired shots at a pursuing trooper.
Prosecutors charged Kaden A. Clark, born in 2007, with first-degree assault of a law enforcement officer, armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon in connection with the Nov. 16 chase that began in Clay County and continued into Kansas City. Advertisement
According to a probable cause statement, a trooper clocked a gray Nissan Altima with no license plates traveling 100 mph around 10:26 p.m. Sunday before the driver accelerated to 115 mph and refused to stop.
