Cloudflare on Tuesday afternoon said an issue has been resolved that earlier in the day had disrupted access to "multiple customers," including X, League of Legends and other apps.
"This incident has been resolved," Cloudflare said at 2:30 p.m. EST. "Cloudflare services are currently operating normally. We are no longer observing elevated errors or latency across the network."
Reports of outages and problems accessing apps and websites surged early Tuesday as Cloudflare, a web services company, said on its system status page that it was investigating the problem.
Cloudflare said customers were experiencing "widespread 500 errors," a message indicating that a website's server is malfunctioning.
"We saw a spike in unusual traffic to one of Cloudflare's services beginning at 11:20 UTC
