PHENIX CITY, Ala. (WTVM) - Phenix City Schools received an overall score of 85 on the 2025 Alabama State Report Card, maintaining its B grade from the previous year.
The district showed strengths in academic growth, graduation rate and college and career readiness, along with a reduction in chronic absenteeism.
“The report cards show that we are still a strong B, but I am excited about tackling the areas of improvement head-on to get us to an A,” said Superintendent Designee Nathan Walters.

Several schools in the district showed improvement:
Westview Elementary increased 8 points to 79
Sherwood Elementary increased 4 points to 88
South Girard School increased 1 point to 79
Phenix City Elementary held steady at 74
