TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - A debate over the spaces transgender students should use took center stage during the public comment portion of Tuesday night’s Amphitheater Public Schools Governing Board meeting.
Amphitheater Public Schools Superintendent Todd Jaeger told the crowd that its current approach must follow the law, allowing transgender students to use facilities that match their gender identity. Many attendees supported the district’s stance, while others voiced their concerns.
