At Monday’s Ludington Area School District Board of Education meeting, one of the agenda items approved was to establish a distinct diploma for Oriole Academy graduates separate from Ludington seniors to recognize students who complete the Oriole Academy graduation requirements.

Oriole Academy Director Kyle Fiebig gave a special presentation highlighting what students are learning and achieving.

“On behalf of us at Oriole Academy what we want to do is turn your attention to the screen, and keep a close look,” he said, pointing to a vision board one student shared. “What I want you to center on and take a look at tonight is what the students are seeing in themselves. They see a future. They envision what they’re going to be doing.”
