CINCINNATI, Ohio — Bengals receiver Ja’Marr Chase’s one-game suspension for spitting on Steelers defensive back Jalen Ramsey was upheld on Tuesday night.

That means Chase will miss this Sunday’s matchup against the Patriots in Cincinnati. It will be the first game he’s missed since sitting out Week 16 in 2023 vs. the Steelers due to a separated shoulder.

In addition, he will forfeit a game check of more than $500,000 per ESPN’s Adam Schefter as a result of his suspension.

The NFL suspended Chase on Monday , one day after he was caught on video spitting on Ramsey during the fourth quarter of the Steelers’ 34-12 rout of the Bengals. After the spit, Ramsey grabbed Chase’s facemask with his left hand and threw a punch with his right.
