Board Blocks Letter

Red Cloud School Board President Jeff Armstrong refused to read a letter sent in by a concerned parent during Tuesday night’s meeting, leading to an exchange with multiple concerned parents asking him to read it.

The meeting lasted over an hour and a half, with most of that time in closed session. Shortly after addressing the public about the importance of transparency, Armstrong mentioned there was a letter sent in by a member of the public but refused to read it. An audience member ended up reading the letter to the public after one board member, who the board has publicly asked to resign, left the letter for the audience to read as they went into closed session.
