A family's home was blasted by a revolver in the middle of the night, a court heard.

James Gray is accused of driving two men, including Sharif Cousins, to the address in Walsall with one of the latter pair shooting the property shortly before 2am on May 26 this year.

A jury was told a bullet hit a car and another smashed through a window and penetrated the living room wall into the kitchen.

A couple, their children, and a grandparent, were inside at the time.

Gray, 28, of Minstead Road, Erdington , and Cousins, 49, of Chester Road, Sutton Coldfield , stand trial at Birmingham Crown Court both denying possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life.
