Residents and the president of a local municipal workers' union again pushed Iowa City to pass a Fourth Amendment resolution to solidfy the right for due process.

Community members launched concerns at the Iowa City City Council in support of immigrant workers who "navigate chaotic, intimidating, or legally questionable encounters with federal agents."

Iowa City-based immigrant worker organization Escucha Mi Voz initially proposed a resolution at a council meeting on Nov. 3 . Supporters again flocked to the Iowa City City Hall on Tuesday, Nov. 18, though the resolution was not on the official agenda.

The Johnson County Board of Supervisors' agenda for Thursday, Nov. 20 , also includes an item acknowledging 32 requests for a similar resolution.
