ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - On Wednesday, a man from St. Louis County admitted to carjacking a 72-year-old in 2023 and is now scheduled to be sentenced.
According to a release, Kirk Hall, 24, pleaded guilty to one count of carjacking and one count of possession of a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence.
Hall admitted to being one of two men who stole a BMW X5 on July 7, 2023.
Police said the 72-year-old victim parked the BMW in a St. Louis County apartment complex around 1 a.m.
After telling the driver and passenger to get out, the other gunman stole the BMW, taking the driver’s cell phone and other personal items.
Hall followed in another vehicle. A few hours later, police found the car, unoccupied.
