STORY CITY, Iowa —

The Story County Sheriff's Office has released a video to remind the public of the dangers of driving while impaired, following an incident on Nov. 8 on Highway 69 south of Story City where a driver caused a head-on collision.

Deputy Schroeder observed a driver behaving erratically and attempted to pull them over, but the driver continued, driving in the wrong lane until colliding head-on with two other vehicles.

Fortunately, no one was seriously injured in the crash.

The driver was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated, driving on the wrong side of the road, and failing to pull over for an emergency vehicle.
