GRISWOLD, Conn. (WFSB) - A state trooper has been arrested for a second time in Griswold.
37-year-old Edward Joshua Gookin, a Connecticut State Trooper, was arrested at noon yesterday and charged with illegal discharge of a firearm, risk of injury to a child, and reckless endangerment in the first degree.
State police did not say what incident led to the arrest.
He posted his $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court today.
Gookin was previously arrested in August and is facing disorderly conduct charges.
On Nov. 11, state police told Channel 3 Gookin was assigned to clerical duties with police powers suspended.
