Weyburn-Bengough MLA Mike Weger invited local women's cancer support group WeyStrong, to be recognized in the legislature on Monday.

WeyStrong member Lisa Vick describes the experience saying it was a great opportunity to garner visibility for the organization.

“We got to tour the legislature, [Mike Weger’s] office, through the buildings, where Premier Moe's offices are and around the whole building. Then we attended question period.”

“It just raises more awareness, and that's what our main goal is, to make sure that people are aware of what WeyStrong does."

They were also able to meet with Health Minister Jeremy Cockrill and discuss the importance of Regina’s new Breast Health Centre. Vick says they plan to arrange a tour of the facility in the near future, so they can have firsthand
