A Kent County woman's late-night food run led to a $1 million scratch-off win, the Michigan Lottery announced.
“I woke up hungry late one night, so I went out on a food run,” said the 53-year-old lottery player, who has chosen to remain anonymous. “While I was out, I bought a few lottery tickets and scratched them when I got home.
"It was shocking when I scratched off my Lady Luck 777 ticket and saw I’d won $1 million. I had a hard time going back to sleep that night!”
Through the Lady Luck 777 game, which launched in August, players can win prizes ranging from $10 to $1 million, per $10 play. Two of top prizes are still up for grabs, according to the Michigan Lottery.
