CHENNAI: Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) is set to resume the campaigning which was suspended following the Karur tragedy. Reports say actor and TVK chief Vijay is reportedly planning to hold a public meeting in the first week of December. Two meetings will be held in two districts.
TVK has directed three locations in Salem. TVK has submitted an application in this regard to the Salem police. The present move is to hold a public meeting in Salem on December 4. There will be four meetings per week. The meetings are planned to be held on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
The Karur tragedy that happened on September 27 had killed 41 people, including children and women, in a stampede that broke out when the rally led by Vijay reached Karur from Namakkal. Following this, there was a lot of criticism
