Being of service doesn’t always look heroic. Most days, it’s small and steady, holding a door, listening fully, dropping off soup, checking in. Simple things that say, I see you.

It is easy to forget that being of service begins close to home and close to heart. Every act of kindness, however ordinary, ripples outward.
