WALTERBORO, S.C. (WCSC) — The Colleton County Sheriff’s Office warned the public that it would be out near a school conducting a search related to a criminal investigation.

Deputies said the public could expect to see an active investigation in the area of the Academy Acres neighborhood near Longleaf Drive, near Colleton Preparatory Academy.

They warned of heavy law enforcement presence in the area, including K9s for an article search.

Deputies said all suspects were in custody and that there was no threat to the public.

The nature of the crimes that led to this investigation have not yet been shared.
