PORTLAND, Ore. — On Wednesday, Portland Police released body camera video in a nonfatal use of deadly force incident, in which officers hit a suspect seen running around the Lloyd District with a handgun, while naked.

Dispatchers fielded several calls about the naked man the night of Nov. 5. North Precinct officers responded to Northeast Hassalo Street. Although they didn't see the man there during an area check, witnesses reportedly told them that the man may have pointed the handgun at his own head and pulled the trigger, but the gun did not fire.

According to the Bureau, after officers spotted him running south on Northeast Grand Avenue, the suspect eventually fired a shot. The gunfire, and subsequent police response, was captured on body-worn camera.
