When he is not forcing fumbles and tackling quarterbacks, Atlanta Falcons linebacker and native Salisburian Jalon Walker is feeding folks from his hometown community. The Walker Foundation and Food Lion hosted a turkey drive on Tuesday that delivered 250 Thanksgiving meals to people in East Spencer.

The event, hosted at Walker’s childhood church Southern City Tabernacle AME Zion Church, had volunteers from Food Lion locations across the region. Jalon Walker and his parents, Curtis and Sheka Walker, attended the event to help hand out food.
