KANNAPOLIS — Lance Lewis won his debut as A.L. Brown’s head boys basketball coach on Tuesday.

The Wonders established a double-digit lead early, led by 17 at halftime and beat South Rowan 74-49.

Jeremiah Christopher was still on the football field on Friday, but he led the Wonders with 15 points.

Quincy Lovejoy-Lewis scored 12, while Carter Hendley had 10.

BJ and Brailyn Ford, sons of former North Rowan star Brandon Ford, combined for another 12 points for the Wonders. Brandon Ford is serving as an assistant coach.

Freshman Anderson Pauley was the bright spot for South Rowan (1-1) with 20 points. Pauley, the son of head coach Justin Pauley, scored 18 in South’s opening-night win against Gray Stone.

Ryan Kluttz and Mason Long scored seven each for the Raiders.
