LEDYARD, Conn. (WFSB) - A 26-year-old Gales Ferry man was arrested Tuesday after turning himself in on an outstanding warrant alleging he mistreated his four juvenile children.

Elijah King was charged with three counts of risk of injury to a minor and two counts of intentional cruelty to persons, according to the Ledyard Police Department. He also faces one count of disorderly conduct.

Police did not say what incident led to the arrest and charges. Channel 3 is working on getting paperwork regarding King’s arrest.

King turned himself in at the Ledyard Police Department on Tuesday.

He is scheduled to appear in court today. King is being held on a $500,000 bond.
