From car washes to pies, Lubbockites have ways to help feed local seniors in need while also getting a little something in return.
Now through Nov. 26, customers in Lubbock-area United, Amigos and Market Street stores can donate $5 to Lubbock Meals on Wheels and receive a free Mrs. Smith's piece as part of the "Easy As Pie" initiative, according to a news release from LMOW.
Also now through Nov. 26, Mighty Wash's Wash Away Hunger program will give folks who donate at least $10 to LMOW a code to get a free Mighty Wash Protector car wash valued at $25.
"That’s not all! You will also be entered into a drawing for an opportunity to join the KLBK anchors on air and throw a pie at your favorite!" reads a statement from Mighty Wash.
Four winners will be chosen to "pie" Cole Banker, Terri Furm
