You’ll soon be able to step inside a full-scale immersive experience of the RMS Titanic as a new exhibit prepares to open in Schenectady.

The experience, titled “Titanic: An Immersive Voyage,” is set to debut in the coming weeks at Armory Studios, located at 125 Washington Avenue in Schenectady.

Organizers said the exhibit uses 3D projections, animations, and virtual reality to recreate the ship and the emotional journey of its passengers. The experience lasts 60 to 90 minutes and is designed for all ages.

More than 300 artifacts, recreated rooms, panoramic visuals, and interactive galleries guide visitors through the ship’s construction, luxury interiors, collision with the iceberg, and final moments.

The experience also includes a virtual reality tour of the wreck site more than 2.5 miles underwater.

Tickets go on sale Friday, Nov. 21 through the exhibit’s official website. Prices start at $27.90.

The Titanic struck an iceberg on April 14, 1912, during its maiden voyage from Southampton to New York. The ship sank in the early hours of April 15, killing more than 1,500 of the roughly 2,200 passengers and crew on board. Just over 700 people survived, many rescued from lifeboats by the steamship Carpathia.

The disaster remains one of the deadliest peacetime maritime tragedies in history. Its impact has endured for more than a century, inspiring countless books, documentaries, museum exhibits, and James Cameron’s 1997 blockbuster film Titanic, which reignited worldwide fascination with the ship and its passengers.
