SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WIS) - A Sumter County woman has been arrested for unlawful conduct toward a child while working as a therapist for a private company.
Jada Yvette Gibbs, 25, was arrested and charged with two counts of unlawful conduct toward a child on Nov. 13. Gibbs allegedly abused a student at a Sumter County private school who was supposed to be under her care.
Gibbs, who worked for Multi-Disciplinary Therapy, was arrested after an official with Wedgefield University for Kids allegedly had evidence of abuse. The private school promptly notified the business, which in turn contacted law enforcement.
She was reportedly seen on video aggressively grabbing a child by the upper left arm and back of the neck, according to records obtained by WIS.
