BECKLEY, W.Va. — A Charleston man has pleaded guilty to a federal drug charge after admitting to selling methamphetamine and fentanyl during multiple undercover transactions in 2025.

Emmanuel Covington, 34, pleaded guilty to distribution of 5 grams or more of methamphetamine.

According to court documents, Covington sold approximately 19.7 grams of methamphetamine to a confidential informant in Beckley on April 30, 2025. As part of his plea, he also admitted to three additional drug sales to an informant in Charleston: a mixture containing methamphetamine and fentanyl on April 16, 2025; fentanyl on May 6, 2025; and methamphetamine on June 4, 2025.
