A Maricopa County grand jury has indicted a Tempe man on additional charges related to the alleged sexual assaults of two women, prosecutors said Thursday.

Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell announced Alex Bangash, 24, faces seven new counts after two women reported assaults in separate incidents.

One woman told authorities she was assaulted at a Gilbert park in December 2022, and another reported an assault at Bangash’s home in July 2023, according to Mitchell.

The new indictment includes two counts of kidnapping, three counts of sexual assault and two counts of aggravated assault.
