FRANKFORT, Ky. — Ronald Exantus has been ordered to finish his sentence in a Kentucky state prison after the parole board revoked his mandatory supervised reentry.

He was acquitted due to insanity in the stabbing death of six-year-old Logan Tipton. However, Exantus was found guilty of attacking other members of the Tipton family at their Versailles home and received a 20-year prison sentence.

Exantus was controversially granted release on Oct. 1, under an older law that allowed his early supervision, but he was arrested again eight days later in Marion County, Fla., for violating those terms after failing to register as a convicted felon.

He waived a hearing, admitted to the violation, and was brought back to Kentucky in late October.
