RIO BRAVO, Tex. (KGNS) - A mother was arrested after her 2-year-old child was found wandering unsupervised on a street in Rio Bravo.
On Thursday, November 20, Webb County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a welfare concern at 4:05 a.m. near the intersection of Rio Hudson and Paseo de Tiber Rd. after a passerby reported seeing a toddler crossing the street.
The passerby told deputies he was driving to work when he noticed the child crossing in front of his vehicle. He immediately stopped, ensured the child’s safety and contacted 911.
Deputies conducted an area search and determined the child lived in the 500 block of Rio Hudson Rd. inside a nearby apartment complex.
Authorities found an apartment unit with the front door standing wide open and made contact with the child’s mother,
