KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Cocke County Partnership has announced it will be kicking off one of Newport’s favorite traditions in early December.
The annual Newport Christmas Parade will be taking place on Dec. 5 at 6:30 p.m. This year’s theme will be “Lights, Camera, Christmas!”
According to organizers, those in attendance can expect show-stopping floats decked out in holiday glamour, twinkling lights and a touch of Hollywood magic.
“It’s a night where our community shines with families, local businesses and organizations all coming together to celebrate the Christmas season,” Daryl Brady, President of the Cocke County Partnership said.
Organizers say the parade will begin at Debbie’s Drive-In, head down Broadway through downtown Newport and end at Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church.
