SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Two community groups partnered Thursday to host the first summit of its kind focused on finding solutions to trauma and violence.

The Beacon Resource Center and the Restorative Justice Collaborative Hub , both groups that provide support services, organized the free event. More than 100 community members and leaders attended to discuss ways to address violence and justice reform.

The summit included sessions to help people recently released from prison re-enter society. Lisa Hochstetler, who spent 12 years in prison for drug-related charges, spoke about her experience.
