Habitat for Humanity
ELKHART, Ind. -- Habitat for Humanity of Elkhart County celebrates two home closings Tuesday and Wednesday in time for the holiday season.
Both of the families in these homes entered the homeownership program in December 2024. They then completed all program requirements, including sweat-equity hours in building the homes, down payment savings, and homeownership and financial literacy courses.
On Tuesday, Carmen Calderon, a single mother to her three-year-old daughter, closed on her new home. On Wednesday, Caitline Drake, another single mother with two young boys, also became a homeowner. Share
