The Legacy Trail will see another extension completed by April as part of a multi-million-dollar public lands effort in northern Sarasota County.

The 0.5-mile extension will connect the Legacy Trail north, from near Eastwood Park along Beneva Road up to Fruitville Road near Circus Trail Nature Park. The trail would will consist of a 10-foot-wide pavement designed for cyclists and pedestrians.
