Three Tasmanian men have fronted court following an investigation into an alleged drug syndicate linked to the harness racing industry across New South Wales and Tasmania.

Police allege the group was transporting methylamphetamine and cocaine from New South Wales to Tasmania, in exchange for cash.

It is alleged the drugs were sent on domestic fights and in the post.

Five people have previously been charged and remain before the courts.

On Tuesday, Tasmania Police officers arrested three men aged 38, 22 and 29 on outstanding New South Wales warrants.

The men appeared in court in Hobart the next day, where Strike Force Chiel detectives applied for, and were granted, the men's extradition to NSW.
