HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - The Sun Belt Conference went three for four in the opening night of the 2025 NCAA men’s soccer tournament. Marshall defeated Cleveland State 1-0 behind a first half goal by David de la Vibora and they will play at NC State Sunday evening.
Meanwhile in Morgantown, WVU had a comeback for the ages as they scored three times in the final 22 minutes and then won in overtime 4-3 over St. John’s. Marcus Caldeira also had a hat trick and they travel to High Point for a second round match on Sunday.
Kentucky lost in overtime at St. Louis while UCF beat Florida Atlantic.
