CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - The Cedar Crossing Casino has completed the building’s shell after nine months of construction, marking a significant milestone as developers work toward their planned New Year’s Eve 2026 opening.
Peninsula Pacific Entertainment, also known as P2E, is the company behind the casino project. The owners said now that the building’s shell is finished, they can turn their attention to the finer details to complete the project.
Inside the empty space will be a casino operation that will include 700 slot machines and 22 table games. P2E is employing 130 trades workers for the building’s construction and the company aims to ramp that up to 200 workers in the next few months.
