SNELLVILLE, Ga. — What happened to a 28-year-old Gwinnett County father back in July unfolded in just a few violent hours, beginning inside his home and ending in a church parking lot miles away.

Oscar Cruz was taken from his house on Gin Blossom Circle around 1 a.m. on July 22, according to new warrants obtained by 11Alive. Investigators said that 34-year-old Raymond Cooper and Michael Golden forced their way in, tied Cruz's hands with duct tape and kidnapped him at gun point before driving off into the night.

During the home invasion, warrants also allege that that the two men took money and other possessions of Cruz while holding him at gunpoint before kidnapping him.

Officers said that that's when the two men then drove Cruz to Cannon United Methodist Church on Webb Ginn House Roa
